Clarence Darrow was most noted in his time as an enormously successful defense attorney. Consider that he was the defense attorney at the Scopes Monkey Trial and at the "trial of the century", the Bobby Franks murder trial. He, like Robert G. Ingersoll, William Cowper Brann (Brann the Iconoclast), William Jennings Bryan (The Cross of Gold Speech), Daniel Webster, etc. was also known as a world-class orator. These collected 8 works include speeches, essays, and public debates.
